Welcome to the 2020 First Grade Adventure!
This is the start of the seventeenth (December 14) week of school. Monthly oral reports are progressing. There will be no oral presentations in January. Instead there will be an animal research project. The presentations will be in February and will be on the animal project. More information will follow.
The developmental asset for the month of December is Courage. Students discuss the topic throughout the month.
REMINDERS:
- Wednesday, December 16, is Polar Express Day. The class may wear their pajamas to school and bring a stuffed toy. If students do not want to wear pajamas they may wear sweats. The will hear the story, "The Polar Express" and do some activities relating to the story. This is also the class's winter celebration day.
- Friday, December 18, is a Collaboration Day. Students will do asynchronous work from home. The work for the day will be posted on SeeSaw. Please check SeeSaw on Friday morning and upload the assigned work before the end of the day to verify attendance.
- Please send in the Anthology books 1.1, 1.2, 1.3. We will be starting a new book in January.
- Please send in Volumes 2 for the green Readers' Notebook and the red Math Journal (Vol.2).
